Who we are
The European Network of Amerindian Linguistics
(ENAL) is meant to be the nucleus of a network of like-minded associations
of European scholars and colleagues from overseas who specialise in the study of
the indigenous languages of the Americas and feel the need of an institutionalised
forum to exchange ideas, co-ordinate projects and rely upon when it comes to applying
jointly for funding, etc.
ENAL was founded
on 4 October, 2009, in Bremen/Germany on the occasion of the Amerindian Day which
was one of the major events on the programme of the
Festival of Languages [http://www.festival.uni-bremen.de].
