Deadline: February 29, 2008
There are prizes for two groups: 21- and 21+. The former applies to persons younger than
twenty-one, the latter for persons twenty-one years of age and older. Prizes will be awarded for both
poetry and prose fiction.
Poetry refers to any work recognizable as a poem due to rhyme, meter or arrangement of words
on a page, and may include songs, raps, ballads, haikus or prose poems.
You must submit at
least 30 lines but no more than 100 lines. If you prefer short
forms, e.g., haiku, you should

Prose fiction can refer to short stories, dramatic sketches, film scripts or any

You are entitled to submit one story, no longer than 1,000 words.
You may submit entries in both categories: poetry and prose. There is no special

We only accept original work that has not been published elsewhere. When you submit
work for
consideration, you agree to grant Writers Ink. e.V. the rights for first publication.
