Example sets generated for language FRENCH at 9-5-2014 11:04:56

This is a record of the state of development of the French KPML resources as developed primarily by Cécile Paris and Tony Hartley within the scope of the DRAFTER and ISOLDE research projects in the late 1990s and early 2000s (see the B-to-Z list of generation systems for more info). Work on these resources stopped at this time and so the results are indicative of what is left to be done and of how one might continue. Several of the example sets contains cases which do not generate (particularly the work-in-progress example set ISOLDE1) and need to be fixed up. In some cases, there are still English lexical items being used instead of French equivalents. Released as-is with no guarantees therefore! In many cases extending or fixing the generated structures would not be difficult, but still requires an investment of time. This could sensibly be done within the scope of Bachelor or Masters theses and practical computational linguistics projects, for example.

Following the example set links in the table below leads to details of the semantic inputs and the generated results and structures. These webpages were generated automatically using KPML's example generation report set facility.

The resources that were used to generate these examples can be downloaded (as-is) here. The example sets were generated using full KPML and Lispworks 5, Loom 4.1 as downloadable from the KPML site. As these resources are still in a development stage, using them without the full KPML grammar development environment is probably less sensible; the examples also run with the "kpml 4.1 full" standalone version of the system available from the main KPML page (see: 'Downloadable Standalone Images').
