Examples include: `happy', `angry', `sad', `amused', `afraid'. Constructions involving qualities in this class can specify a fact as the cau--se of the mental state. For example, ``Henry was sad that he missed the performance''. ``Henry was angry because the train was late''. Note that such constructions are not possible with phenomenon-oriented-qualities. Some qualities fall into both categories, but are expressed differently depending on their classification. Compare: ``I am *amazed* that the earth is flat'' (senser-oriented); ``That the earth is flat is *amazing* to me'' (phenomenon-oriented). (Bateman, Henschel, and Rinaldi 1995: 64)"(xsd:string)
