Conference Description
Irregularity is a philological concept which is
only insufficiently defined. It is normally associated with morphological properties
although it has been applied also to other levels of grammar. The conference looks
at irregularity from the vantage point of different theories, languages, and sub-systems
of language. The history of the concept itself is traced back to its origins. The
conference aims at preparing the grounds for an international and (within linguistics)
interdisciplinary project on irregularity.
