In 1991, a language services company run by Eileen Westermann, herself a writer, and her husband Uwe, offered to sponsor newleaf, and for the first time we were able to stop living from hand to mouth; now we were able to improve our graphics, especially the new-style colour cover designed by Oliver Chrystossek. When the Westermanns took over the inlingua school in Bremen, our co-operation continued and deepened; for instance, in June 2004 - as part of the magazine's birthday celebrations - the company offered us a platform to read in their premises in Bremen's prestigious World Trade Center. Eileen and Uwe have supported us through thick and thin, through hard times and even illness, and for this we are very grateful indeed.
